Help spread the word: KidsCare II coverage starting

| May 3, 2012 | 0 Comments

Starting May 1, some children on the KidsCare waiting list became covered under KidsCare II, a program similar to KidsCare that is paid for with money from three Arizona hospitals and federal matching funds.

Thanks to this funding, nearly 22,000 children on the KidsCare waiting list will be eligible to enroll in KidsCare II. This enrollment is not automatic and families will be asked to complete new applications.Families on the waiting list should update their address and find out if their children are eligible to enroll by calling the KidsCare II hotline at 1-800-377-3536. Families on the KidsCare waiting list have just 30 days to apply for KidsCare II when they receive their letter from AHCCCS. Help make sure families don’t miss this important opportunity!

Children’s Action Alliance has created a flyer in English and Spanish that you can post or distribute to families who may be on the waiting list. CAA can provide a limited number of copies of the flyer. If interested, contact Matt Jewett, CAA’s Director of Health Policy, at 602-266-0707 x212, or mjewett@azchildren.org.
